Introduction to 'Push your Buttons'

We all know that people around you can really push your buttons sometimes. And most of the time it doesn’t make you feel happy! Rather it will annoy you because you just lost control over your own emotions and thoughts. Although this is a helpful sign to show you where you need some kind of personal development, there is a way to support you in these moments and your mindfulness by ‘pushing your own buttons’, literally! Not only does it help you when you are pushed out of your flow, it helps you in gaining and strengthening health.

Rivers are flowing
Our body is magnificent. Not only does it have a physical body we can see and touch, we also have 9 energy systems that are very much part of human system as a whole. One of these energy systems is our energy transport system called the meridians. You can picture them as rivers of flowing energy that support your organs, your hormones, chemicals and subtler energies. Every organ has its own meridian. Next to that, our hormonal system has 2 meridians as well. The meridians have a physical and an emotional function. For instance, the stomach function is to start off the digestion of physical foods, while the emotional function is to start digest the impulses of the world that enter our system via your senses. The meridian starts underneath the eyes flows down to your jaw, flows next to your ears up and over your eyebrows, goes down between your eyes, follows your nose, touches the corners of your mouth and then moves down the front of your body. So its flow make sure that it can take in all the energy impulses via the senses in your face.

Twists and turns
These energy pathways, like rivers, have twists and turns. Especially where they meet a joint or a nerve. And exactly on these points you find your ‘buttons’. These points can stimulate or calm down the flow of the meridian. So if you feel a cold coming up, you can push your immune buttons to avoid it or make it less impactful. And when someone ticks you off you can find your calming down buttons and give those a minute of your attention to lessen the grip of your reaction.

But not only the meridians have their nerve endings to touch. There are also neurolymphatic and neurovascular reflex points, which are nerve endings that stimulate lymph or blood to stimulate to flow to specific organs. These buttons help also to detox and strengthen your organs…and thereby your emotional responses as being part of the organs.

Overload or empty
When you keep your energies healthy by pushing your buttons, you make yourself able to handle emotional responses better! So when your mom is overprotective and hits your annoyed button, you can prevent that by pushing your self-trust and relaxed buttons. And when your bank calls and hits your worried button, you can prevent by pushing the calm and trust button. The buttons flush new fresh energy into the meridians and if they are well, the organs will be too. And in the end you are preventing the physical effect of bombarding your meridians with emotions. How does that work? When you get an overload of an emotion or you get one specific emotion all of the time: your meridians get affected and get blocked by too much energy or it becomes empty. Like a highway having a traffic jam lots of the time or roads that are not used and certain areas get isolated. And with enough shock or repetition, your physical body starts to be affected, with illness or vague complaints or injuries.

Soccer game?
So when you are always angry or judgmental to self and others, your liver can (not necessarily) be affected. Funny example, that shows the other way around effect, is the crowd of men that go to a soccer game. They drink lots of alcohol and when the liver is so full it has no space for extra impulses from the outside, the men get angry too let go of the overload of energy. Hence, the riots and agressive behavior after a soccer game. The liver will resist more incoming and will start to become outgoing.

How to determine what is healthy for you?

Most of us are driven mad with all the articles about what is pure poison for your body, what is stimulating cancer or other diseases, what is healthy and unhealthy, what not to eat and what you should eat. And to make it worse, they contradict each other! While a decennium ago you just ate what you liked, now it seems you need to find that few things you are still able to eat according to the experts whether you like to eat it or not.

Let me bring some light to this area, which has become way to complicated. Let me give you some groundrules to make your life simpler:

1) Mind over body
Your thoughts (conscious and unconscious), your convictions, your ideas, the way you see the world will make you healthy or unhealthy, with far more effect than what you take in as food. If you repeat the thought that you are less worthy than others or for instance the thought that you are not able in life or that other people are the source of your annoyance and you repeat it day in day out, don’t you think that the energy that you take in as ‘energy food’ will have way more effect than your physical food? Think about that.

And what if you are able to surround your foods and drinks with positive thoughts and thoughts of gratitude (thank you for the fact that I can eat what Earth gives me) love (I love this food, the taste is so full and enjoyable) or strength (this food will give me new energy and power) about what you take in? Don’t you think that you can eat and drink that which you prefer with far less negative influence than when you think negative thoughts? Like you shouldn’t eat/drink them, because you will get fat or it is bad for you or what will others think of you or maybe now I am damaging my body?



2) Everyone is unique
There is not one person the same on this earth. This also counts for what you need and is nutritious, what is neutral or what you better avoid on a daily basis. And the last words are very important: if you take in something on a daily basis, it has a significant effect. If you take something in once a week or once in a while it has far less effect than every day. And all this means that you need to figure out for yourself how your body, mind and emotions react to what you take in (food, drinks, supplements, medication, herbs, anything). If you have doubts about some sort of food, leave it out for at least a couple of weeks and see what it does to you. Skip sugar rigorously for example or skip wheats (which might be a challenge, because sugar and wheats are in at least 80% of the products in the supermarket). Check literally every product in the supermarket on sugars/wheat, leave it out and see what happens. You will be amazed what the effects can be, when you skip one kind of product that you take in daily. After that couple of weeks you know enough to make your choice. When you absolutely love a product that doesn’t give you energy or your body has difficulty processing, eat it once a week and enjoy it like crazy. If you don’t feel a difference, just eat it whenever you like. When you crave it and feel energized by it: eat it daily.

Sometimes it is great to add a product for some time like a fruit you really love or a veggie or a goody like nuts and pure chocolates. And take the time to enjoy it fully! You will love it so much that you can remember such a moment for the rest of your life. Like I still can remember with a smile in my heart getting the first strawberries of the year and eat the whole box on my way home, I walked slow taking in the air of spring and feeling full of joy. It will increase your sensitivity.

What you will notice when you are on your journey in determining what foods you need and which you love, your body will give you signs as well (be consciously sensitive). If you are a bit familiar to meridians, you might find it a revelation that the stomach meridians flows around your eyes, your nose and your mouth. So you are actually doing the groceries with your stomach! If you see some foods that are so attractive that you must buy them, maybe your body simply needs them. But beware: this only works when you are sensitive enough and not addicted to sugar. Else your eyes will help your addiction, not your health.

Not only are you as a person unique, your body moves through phases and in some phases you need more of something you first didn’t even think of. It is a life’s journey to discover and enjoy what your body craves, enjoys, loves or has difficulty processing. Enjoy the ride!

3) Relax, your are stronger than you think
Don’t you think that when a human body can survive horrible poisons like chemotherapy, suffer extreme circumstances like starvation, anorexia, living in heavily polluted areas that your body can not handle some minor toxic foods? Don’t worry too much (see the first point) you will survive your food. And when you are already a bit conscious of your food/drink intake and you have a love for your body and you have a wish to support it as well as you can, than you are very well on your way!



4) You can energy test it
If you are so scrambled by the media and you simply feel that it is impossible to feel and discover what you need at the moment, you can always energy test your choice of foods. It is the way of the energy kinesiologist. And you can always learn from one to help yourself. An energy test is testing the resistance of a muscle connected to the energy flow of a specific meridian or energy flow. When your muscle is not able to give the normal resistance, you know something is out of balance. With food testing you use the meridian of the stomach and spleen. You hold a food in your hand and test a specific muscle. If it is not responding with strength, it means your food is not strengthening you. A great technique in helping your body to translate what it needs.

Hopefully this article is giving you relieve and simple guidance in loving your body and loving foods and drinks. Not to worry too much, it has more of a negative effect thn the foods you eat.

What happens if you compare the planet with your own body energies?


Learn how to see your ingenious body differently.



Today I was reading and learning about an energy system which exists in and around your body, and that most of us never even heard of. It is called the radiant circuits. Although we just got a bit used to the idea of the existence of chakra’s or meridians after thousands of years of ignorance, I am still going to introduce this one later on. Why? Because if you get to know the interplay of these energy systems, their unique functions and behavior you start to see how incredibly beautiful and ingenious we actually are!

Even though only a few have the ability to see energies, we can all feel the flow of energy when we are in love, having sex, feel on top of the world or on the bottom of a pit hole. We are ‘feeling beings’. But because it is not so easy to see, I want to tell you about my insight that might help you see what you sense.
Our energy body is like that of our planet. She has an equator, meridians, she has wind blowing her surface, she has an aura and she has energy centers around her globe.

Does the planet have meridians?
The meridians, are exactly like the ley lines, you probably have heard of them before. These lines are very accurate and electro-magnetic in nature (positive, negative and neutral), they connect from point A to point B and never move. They transport energies where they are needed and sometimes even leave a trace on the skin of the earth. In our body they transport energies through our entire body. When they are blocked, you start to feel it in different ways like for instance tiredness, feeling weak, dull or depressed. When the blockage won’t go for a longer period of time, it can produce illness and pain. The ley lines of the planet are also known for its effects on humans, but it is not yet scientifically researched as far as I know or could find on the internet.

Those beautiful Polar lights are an indication of something…
The aura of the planet is absolutely incredible and the Polar lights give us some insight into her beauty. The Van Allen Belts are like a skin in the form of an apple that protects our planet from influences that can invade us from space. This form is exactly like our aura. The apple shape springs from our head like a fountain and moves inward and up again at our ankles.

Equator is the belt around your waist
The equator is the middle line that divides Earth in the Northern hemisphere and the Southern. (Notice that wé have two hemispheres as well, maybe you can even recognize a difference in people and their brains above and below the equator.)  Our own equator is called the belt flow, which is a radiant circuit I will speak more of in the next paragraph. It is connecting your upper body and your lower body. Especially with ladies you see that this flow is often blocked. Their lower body is barely communicating with the upper body. When this flow is healthy, you feel sexy and attractive, you are comfortable in your skin and you can feel stable on your legs and on the ground.

Radiant winds are blowing our minds
The radiant circuits I spoke of in the beginning of this article and in the last paragraph, are like the winds. They are moving energy in different directions on the surface of our Earth, but they tend to have a common direction on specific locations. As you often experience in your own country, the wind is free, but it flows in patterns. Mostly it blows in one direction, but in a certain period of time, it changes. The basics of the wind system of the Earth is well explained in the next video.



The wind brings new weather, new moods, sometimes it caresses your skin or blows your mind. The wind has an enormous influence, but we hardly recognize it…it is so familiar and part of our daily life. Yet it is such an inspiration, when you give your senses a chance to feel and enjoy them anew.

Can you influence your body’s energy?
Yes you can! There are many ways to influence your body’s energy. A very legitimate question is, why should you? Well, here is because. You are actually, often without being conscious of it, experiencing that your energy systems are influenced every day. Just as the planet is influenced by processes in the universe (solar flares, meteorites, star positions etc.). Your own energy is for instance bombarded with impulses (emotional reactions, toxins in the air, electromagnetic waves from devices etc.) from outside and your aura is protecting you. When you have to handle too much stresses from inside and out, your aura gets weakened. When that happens, viruses and other intruders can enter quite easily. So to make sure that your energy systems are strong and balanced so they can handle stresses from outside ánd inside more effectively, you can do all kinds of energy work. Think of yoga, tai chi, qi gong, do-in, but also sports and certain games can help. Taking a shower, sleep, drinking water, eating natural, being outside in the sun and in nature enough are all very helpful in balancing your energies.




Love for Earth
As you now start to see, there are quite some similarities between Earth and your body and I am just starting to compare a couple of systems. Isn’t it giving you a sense of joy, being a part of and living in this great place? Feel love for Earth? (Did you realize that HEART and EARTH contain the same letters?) I myself can feel an overflow of gratitude looking at the complex 
simplicity of the Universe. And I hope I have given you a bit of that as well with this article.
